The Surprise Orchards community was such a sight to behold last holiday season, with all the beautifully decorated homes. The Board of Directors is excited to announce that the HOA will be having the Holiday Decorating Contest again this year!
Judging for the Holiday Decorating Contest will be held over the weekend of December 19th-21st. In order to be included in the contest you must have your residence decorated and ready for viewing by 6pm on those dates. Winners to be announced on the community website homepage www.surpriseorchardshoa.com. Prizes to be given: First Prize— $100 Gift Card 2nd Prize— $75 Gift Card 3rd Prize — $25 Gift Card
Please be reminded of the Holiday Decorations guidelines.
“Holiday Decorations: Winter Holiday Season decorations may be displayed beginning November 1st and must be removed by January 31st. Halloween decorations may be displayed from September 15th until November 15th. For all other Federal and non-Federal holidays, decorations may be displayed up to two weeks prior and must be removed no later than one week after the holiday.
Decorations that emit music or noise must be turned off by 10:00pm. Flashing, blinking, pulsating and or chasing lights must be turned to “constant” or “solid on” by 10:00pm or off completely.
The Architectural Committee reserves the right, on a case-by-case basis, to determine if decorations may be offensive to Association members or cause any kind of disturbance or nuisance based on size, quantity, color, location or other such criteria. The Architectural Committee reserves the right to require immediate removal of said offensive items on a case-by-case basis.”
